Hi, I'm Julia and I'm a 33 year old mum of two young kids (3 and 6) living in Melbourne, Australia.
I've worked in the tourism industry for close to 12 years. Currently in my dream role as a Flight Attendant.
Travel is my passion, and having children was in no way going to slow me down. It's just now a fine balancing act of travelling on age appropriate trips, the whole family can enjoy. Feel free to follow me and hopefully you too can share in my research and tips and make travelling with young ones less scary and more exciting...
I must also add that what works for my family/kids might not work for everyone, so use this as a research tool you can adapt to make work for you.
  Happy Travelling.

    Travel Planning Tips
How I Plan a Family Holiday This is something I get asked a bit. I've always been a planner and researcher when it comes to my holidays, but even more so with the kids. I like and dislike this stage of the holiday process. I like it as the world really is your oyster, you can read up on new and exciting places to visit, spend time looking at beautiful beaches, and glamerous hotels/resorts dreaming of where you'd rather be from the comfort of your lounge room. I dislike it as it is, I find, the

Travel Cot - Phil and Teds
Travel Tips - Phil & Teds Travel Cot This is one of my favorite travelling items and I can highly recommend it. We have taken it on every trip we've done with the kids (except Bali as the hotels we stayed at promised to have cots) including camping trips. The first couple of times it was a bit tricky to set up, but once you have the hang of it, you can get it done in 5 mins. Its super light weight at only 3.2kg (which is great when baggage allowance is an issue) although most airlines allow

Travelling with young ones on flights
My experiences with travelling with young kids on flights We've all done it, gone to book a flight overseas or domestically, to go on a lovely holiday, just like we used to, and our only thought was where we wanted to go, and what choices of airlines would get us there and at what prices they were. We normally choose the cheapest, no matter what the route or duration or departure time was....But wait, now we have a young child! Fear sets in, 'maybe it's not a good idea to take a young child on

    Bali - Bali Mandira
Hotel Review -  Legian, Bali - The Bali Mandira My go to place in Paradise  One and a half years ago I stumbled across the Bali Mandira for a quick Bali getaway for hubby and I. I was already familiar with the location,  on the corner of Jalan Pantai (the beach road) and Jalan Padma. Located towards the Legian/Kuta boarder it is surrounded by great places to eat and drink, and lots of shopping. I've stayed here twice in the last 1.5 years as it ticks all my boxes when it comes to my Bali

Bali - The Vira Bali Boutique Hotel & Suite
Hotel Review -  Kuta, Bali - The Vira Bali Boutique Hotel & Suite Stylish Find On a recent trip to Singapore, I found myself madly searching for accommodation for one night in Bali which was about to replace my first night in Singapore due to a cancelled flight. I had all of 30mins to select and book it whilst I sat on board my new flight to Bali. I wanted to be close to the airport, central to places to eat, nice rooms, nice pool and needed to fit in a quick spa treatment.. Vira Bali

    Vietnam - Cassia Cottage
Hotel Review - Phu Quoc - Cassia Cottage Boutique Hidden Gem In July 2017, I stumbled across this amazing property while looking for a place for our family to stay on Phu Quoc Island, an 40 min flight from Ho Chi Minh City, and am so happy I did. For 3 nights we called Cassia Cottage home. And home was not an understatement. They arranged our pick up from the airport with a stress free trip to the hotel. From here we were warmingly welcomed, with the reception staff coming out to our car

    Dubai - Palace Downtown
Hotel Review -  Dubai - Palace Downtown Luxury Luxury Luxury In September 2013 we were lucky enough to stay at The Palace Downtown in Dubai. The hotel screamed Middle Eastern luxury resort from the moment you drive down the driveway to the front of the hotel, to the magnificent large rooms and every little detail in between. We arrived very early at the hotel, about 6am, the check in staff were warm and welcoming and could see that we were in need of a room quickly with our 18 month old, and
